X_Trader 7x Basic Setup Instructions

 

Once you’ve downloaded + installed X_Trader, and rebooted your computer you should notice a RED TT icon in your system tray –

Note: If you do NOT have the above icon in your system tray, double left click the Start Guardian icon on your desktop to populate one –

 

Double left click the TT icon in the system tray to populate the Guardian Production Window –

 

 

Left click Config to get a drop down menu, now left click Daemon Setup –

 

 

The ONLY thing you will change here is the IP address on the Remote Daemon side. Enter the IP address (GATEWAY) you received in your email. Left click OK; X_Trader will now close for the new changes to take effect –

 

 

 

Once Guardian has restarted you should have a GREEN TT icon in your system tray –

Note: Depending on which markets are active your icon could be YELLOW. A YELLOW icon also insures connectivity. Please continue with the setup process.

 

Once connected in Guardian double left click the X_Trader icon on your desktop –

 

After opening X_Trader you’ll notice two windows. The X_Trader Toolbar, and the TT Exchange Login Window –

 

 

First, go to the Exchange Login Window.

 

Under Exchange List left click the exchange you’d like to login to. Once your exchange choice has been highlighted enter the login information you received by email for the following fields – Member ID, Group ID, Trader ID, and Password.

 

Note: All fields are case sensitive. Enter the above information exactly as the email states. Leave CLR and Default BLANK.

 

Once you have all login information entered left click Login. Once logged in you’ll notice a checkmark next to the exchange you chose. Now close the TT Exchange Login Window to activate the X_Trader Toolbar.

 

From the X_Trader Toolbar left click Settings for a drop down menu. From the menu left click Customer Defaults –

 

Once at the Customer Defaults Window you’ll do the following – Enter your account number exactly as your email states, left click the Use Max box, and enter your Maximum Order Quantity. Once the information has been entered close the Customer Defaults Window –

 

 

Now go back to the X_Trader Toolbar. Left click Window to get a drop down menu, from the drop down menu click Market Explorer –

 

Once you’re at the Market Explorer Window you’ll do the following – Left click desired exchange under Exchanges, left click FUTURE under Instrument Types, and select the products you wish to trade by left clicking them then use the > tab to place them in the Selected Products section.

 

When you have selected an Exchange, Instrument Type, Instruments press the Start tab –

 

 

Once you’ve clicked Start the following window will populate –

 

 

Here you’ll single RIGHT click on the contract month/year you wish to trade to get a drop down menu. From the drop down menu left click MD Trader –

 

 

Here is the Market Depth Window –

 

 

Single RIGHT click the empty grey area under Delete 0 to get a drop down menu. From the drop down menu click Properties –

 

From the MD Trader properties Window you’ll do the following – Enter your Maximum Order Quantity, and Enable Trade Out. You can choose your method by Limit or Market -

Once you’ve entered your Maximum Order Quantity, and Enabled Trade Out; Left click the MD Display Tab.  From the MD Display Window you’ll do the following – Enable Keep MD Trader on Top, and center the Bid/Ask Display – 

When done select OK

 

 

 

 

You’ll now be back at the Market Depth Trader Window. Here you can configure the window so it’s easier to use. On the top of the window there are seven sections. By single left clicking any one of these seven sections the entire column will become high lightened. With the column high lighted left click it again this time keeping your finger on the mouse. When moved to the right or left you’ll notice a red laser line. If you choose to move any columns, use the red laser line as an indicator for section placement –

Go back to the X_Trader Toolbar; left click Window to get a drop down menu. From the drop down menu click Fill Window –

Go back to the X_Trader Toolbar; left click Window to get a drop down menu. From the drop down menu click Audit Trail –

You can now situate everything the way you’d like to see it the next time you login. Here is an example of my layout –

 

 

Once you have everything positioned the way you like, go back to the X_Trader Toolbar, select File, Save As, and title your Workspace –

 

Please remember to click Save to secure all of your settings.
